Foodservice Sales Representative – East Coast

Foodservice Sales Representative Role:

This position is Leinster based and would ideally suit a confident and ambitious sales professional looking to take their career to the next level in a fast paced and rapidly growing sales focused business.

The successful candidate should be living within easy commuting distance of Dublin. Being mentored by the regional sales manager, the foodservice sales representative will receive ongoing training on our products, sales processes, and key customer channels. The objective is to quickly develop the necessary skills to take on end user account management responsibilities and become a key contributor in our largest regional market.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Through our office and field based training programme, developing a deep understanding of the Vista Foods brand and market positioning and how the company’s products and services uniquely meet customer needs and deliver long-term benefit.
  2. Developing the interpersonal and presentation skills necessary to comfortably deal with the different foodservice channel operators in a manner that benefits them.
  3. Developing your sales management skills to allow you become the trusted advisor and contributor to your customers, and contribute to their business growth.
  4. Carrying out field based assignments to develop an in-depth understanding of the different foodservice operators and how we can contribute to their success.
  5. Working on business development projects on a mentored basis to build your understanding and appreciation of our account management and business development process.
  6. Developing reporting skills necessary to confidently report on your activity, achievements, and progression on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to the management team.
  7. Developing your competence on the business CRM system.
  8. Contributing to the development of the business as part of the sales team development process.

Skills, Attributes, and Experience:

  1. Confident, ambitious, and open to learning and personal development.
  2. Performance focused, and a belief in your ability to thrive in a results focused business.
  3. Excellent listening skills with a natural empathy for the customer and being on ‘their side’, while maintaining a sales focus.
  4. Good interpersonal skills and phone manner, with the confidence to interact at all levels from the business owner to the shop floor.
  5. Strong self-starter work ethic with good organisational and time management skills.
  6. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a foodservice sales environment is essential.
  7. Third level qualification in a business related discipline is preferred, but consideration will be given to candidates who can clearly articulate how this won’t be an impediment to them.

Excellent salary and benefits package dependent on experience, with generous performance based bonus.
