A few years ago, a startup called Momentum Machines unveiled a robot that could churn out 400 burgers an hour, and now, Tech Insider reports that the company is creating a restaurant concept around it.

The robot can slice toppings, cook the meat, assemble, and bag the burger without any help from humans.

The un-named restaurant opening in San Francisco will feature:

  • The world-premiere of proprietary and remarkable new advances in technology.
  • Enable the automatic creation of delicious burgers at prices everyone can afford.

Quality will also play a big part:

  • Burgers will be minced and cooked to order.
  • Served on toasted bun and dressed with a variety of fresh produce, seasonings, and sauces.

However, the robots can’t do everything! The restaurant will still need to employ a human for tasks such as payroll and taking out the bins.

Could you imagine your business being run like this…. will you be replacing your staff with Robots one day? One major concern that springs to mind is…. Would the Robots remember that Daniel likes chilli sauce with his goujons? Or what about long standing customer, Margaret, who likes extra Vinegar but no salt on her chips? Who knows, perhaps these Robots can be locally programmed!
