The chicken sandwich kings of America – The Chick-Fil-A chain have done it again, they recently released a mobile app that quickly became the number one most downloaded free app in the I-Tunes Store.
Imagine that – more people downloading the Chick-Fil-A App than Snapchat, Instagram or Facebook! In just 3 days the app was downloaded over a million times.
The reason? Mainly because the chain promised a free chicken sandwich to everyone who downloaded the app. A clever initiative- who doesn’t like free stuff!
The app, named Chick-fil-A One has two basic functions.
- To place an order and pay for it ahead of time, skipping lines on arrival by clicking the “I’m here” button and presenting your phone with a scannable QR code to pick up your food.
- It also enables the user to earn free food based on the history of their purchases.
Similar to the Starbucks app, frequent Chick-fil-A visitors can load up their mobile wallet with funds to purchase food quickly. The rewards are referred to as “Treats,” and the app uses a circular chart to show how close you are to earning your next “Treat.” Customers can also customize their meals which will also be remembered for future visits.
